“I was not paid to Appear on #BBNaija” — Banky W

Banky W has officially replied housemate Gifty’s claims that he was paid to appear on the show days ago. Recall that the music boss visited the housemates as a special guest to speak with, and inspire, the housemates on how best to mine the platform they have been given. While many of them enjoyed Bany W’s visited, Gifty thought differently during her Diary Session. According to the housemate, she doesn’t know who Banky W is, felt he was too full of pride, especially because of the way he carried himself – as though he was paid to appear on the show. Her comments stirred reactions on social media yesterday. Many Nigerians had unkind things to say about the housemate and Banky W fueled the negative reactions too. “To be fair, I dunno know her much either,” he tweeted yesterday, adding, “opinions are like assholes and everyone has one and is entitled to it. Doesn’t mean it isn’t full of sh*t.” However, the EME boss returned last night to officially address the claims, while asking Nigerians to quit dragging the housemate. “Not sure why she feels like I have “proudness”😩😂, but I certainly wasn’t paid to appear. I was in town for another gig and the producers asked if I could come on as a favour and give the contestants some advice that will be helpful to them down the line, which is all I tried to do,” Banky W said in his post. See the full post below: Lol..okay, Quick thoughts: Yall shld pls try and have mercy on her. 1) Not sure why she feels like I have “proudness”😩😂, but I certainly wasn’t paid to appear. I was in town for another gig and the producers asked if I could come on as a favour and give the contestants some advice that will be helpful to them down the line, which is all I tried to do. I think all the other contestants enjoyed our time together so it’s all good. 2) The thoughts I shared weren’t for the contestants alone; hopefully my words were beneficial to all the viewers at home. 3) It’s okay if Gifty, or anyone else doesn’t know who I am. I never assume that they do, or that they should. Pls if you don’t know me, feel free to epp my career – Google me or look up my music catalogue on YouTube.. or watch the wedding party movie. Whenever Gifty does make it home, she will have the opportunity to do the same. Lastly, big thank you to the #bbnaija Producers for having me on. I truly enjoyed my time on the show, and I always gain a sense of fulfilment whenever I get the chance to share my story and life lessons with people. God bless us all and may the best contestant win! 😆👌👍🙌z

“How I my close friend tried to murder me” – Rapper Yung6ix

Yung6ix has alleged that a close friend attempted to take his life late last year. In a chat with Saturday Beats, Yung6ix says till date, he doesn’t know why his friend, who is also a rap artiste, wanted to murder him. Excerpts: “I don’t know why my friend would want to kill me but that was one of the most shocking moments of my life. It happened at the studio in my house; I just came downstairs and the next thing I saw was my friend with a gun. I called him but he did not reply. Then I saw the look on his face. He came with some other people. The guy by his side just took the gun from my friend’s hand because he noticed that my friend was already having a change of heart and he did not want to shoot me. When the guy took the gun, he tried to shoot me but I was lucky the gun jammed, so everybody ran away. “To be honest, I don’t know what could have made him want to kill me. The only issue I think we had was not enough to cause any issue. I was shooting the video of one of my songs in Abuja the same day he was shooting the video of one of his songs that he featured me. I told him that I couldn’t be there for his video because I was working on my own video. I told him that once I returned to Lagos, I would make sure I shoot my part of his video and I would take care of the cost. It was when I got back that he came to my house with a gun.” The rapper said he had to report the matter to the police and his friend was arrested. “They moved him out of our estate because he lived near my house. The police later told us that estate residents had been complaining about him and that they did not want someone who walked around with a gun living in their estate. That was how he was evicted from the estate and I felt bad about it.” “All that is behind me now and I am thinking of my new projects. I have my record label and a sponsor because immediately I left Storm Records, I decided to be on my own without relying on anyone. Along the line, somebody came to support me financially in the person of Prince Mefe. I decided not to be like other conventional artistes who would rather be very established before signing new acts. Every step I take, I want someone to grow with me the way Olamide also brought some guys up as he was becoming big as a star. Already, I have four artistes signed to my record label, KKTBM, and they are LK Kuddy, S.H.E, Percy, and Sean Dennis.”z
